Video

We are using video more frequently in the development of course materials. Broadband has enabled this, and with NBN on the near horizon, video will be accessible to many more people, especially in rural / regional Australia.

We use low tech to produce high quality videos.

The trick here is two-fold. Audio is critical - so we use either a high quality lapel or direct microphone. Secondly, good lighting: we use a Lowel light with a reflector umbrella.

In most cases, the videos are instructional, so we film the person speaking direct to camera, but prompted by an off-camera interviewer - this makes the presentation more informal.

In some cases, we provide a text translation to comply with Accessibility standards.
