AuSud Journalism project

This is a very exciting project that we are presently project managing.

The University of Melbourne's Centre of Advanced Journalism in association with the ABC secured an Australian Research Council grant to train Sudanese refugees in journalism.

Binary Blue was secured as the project manager. This meant:

  • developing a 12 week curriculum
  • setting up a training blog for the trainees to use as a space where they can write their articles
  • liaising with the trainers
  • coordinating the trainees on the Friday afternoon training session.

In 2011, we trained 15 people. In 2012, there will be two sets of training courses, starting in February.

The trainees will be responsible for managing their own web site / blog.
